Allergy concerns can be discussed with your doctor at a dedicated allergy appointment.
Environmental Allergy testing may be recommended, if there is a family history of allergies, if there are symptoms of runny nose, stuffy nose, sneezing, itchy or watery eyes, post nasal drainage, cough, vomiting, asthma, eczema, multiple ear infections or sinus infections. We can perform skin prick testing in office and order blood tests as needed.
Food Allergy testing is offered to our patients who may have had reactions to foods. We can perform skin prick testing in office, and order blood tests as needed.
By doing allergy tests, results will show what your child’s likely triggers are. Environmental recommendations may be given or medication changes may be suggested. Your doctor may recommend a referral to an allergist. We do not offer immunotherapy in our office.
We provide a packet of information, that will help you prepare your child for testing. It includes a list of medications your child should avoid for 4 days prior to the Allergy testing appointment.
If you are interested in having your child tested, please speak with your child’s doctor or nurse.
