We offer allergy testing for patients aged 2-years and older. The product we currently use is the Southeastern Allervision test. Antigens used vary from trees, molds, grasses and certain foods such as apple and cow’s milk.
By doing an allergy test, we are able to know what the possible triggers are that are causing your child’s allergy symptoms. As a result, we are able to give specific environmental allergy recommendations, and increase or change medications to help control the allergies. If we find that a referral to an allergist is needed for further control, such as allergy shots or sublingual serum, we are able to do that as well.
When the allergy appointment is scheduled here, we do provide a packet of information that will guide you as you prepare for the testing. It includes a list of medications your child should avoid prior to the testing.
Allergy appointments are subject to doctor approval. If you are interested, please speak with your doctor at your child’s next appointment.
